Just to give you some perspective on our situation, my husband and I have "A-type personalities" which means we strive to be extremely detailed-oriented, assertive, and diligent in the way we handle things in our work life as well as our personal life so we expect any Realtor® we work with to uphold the same standards. With that being said, our previous experience with working with a Realtor® before Stormie was not positive at all. Our last Realtor® was not very responsive, was extremely unprofessional and disorganized, did not listen to our needs, and kept on trying to sell us condos when we said we only wanted to buy a house. Because of the horrible experience we had without a previous Realtor®, we decided to switch Realtors® and work with Stormie. And right away we could tell that we made the right choice. Stormie helped negotiate the best deal we could get for our dream house. She helped us navigate through the complicated escrow process as the house we bought was a probate/pre-foreclosure house and the sellers were dragging their feet throughout the whole process. Stormie went above and beyond her duties as our agent to ensure every aspect of our home buying experience was amazing. She was pretty much available to speak with us regarding any questions we had 24/7. She even helped arrange the disposal of old TVs that were left by the previous owners in front of our house. To make the long story short, my husband and I closed escrow on our house on April 22, 2016. If it wasn't for Stormie I think I would have gone crazy due to the complications of our escrow transaction due to the previous owner/listing agent. If selling my $2.5M Brentwood home at the asking price wasn’t enough, the day I closed, I received a call from the Salvation Army that their truck had broken down and they would not be able to come to pick up my remaining furniture, which was 1/2 of my 2800 sq ft house! First I'd like to say that this was a trust sale with many players for her to juggle. We had multiple beneficiaries and a trustee all playing a role on the listing side. This complicated the transaction. I am very picky and I have very high expectations so I was worried at first when I realized that Tami was not planning to be our active listing agent. Instead, it would be Stormie who is young and does not have the years of experience that Tami does, representing us. Well, now I know that this was an unnecessary concern. Stormie was great! She was professional, poised, mature, calm, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire transaction. We joked that she deserved combat pay for what we put her through. Stormie buffered the family dynamics which helped reduce some of the stress. She patiently made multiple calls to the various parties involved which was time-consuming for her.
